Thank you for taking the time to evaluate the shareware version of
BBSee. I believe that it will become one of your regular BBS utilities.
I have included a file QUICKST.ART which will give you a quick intro.
into BBSee, but to best understand the program reading the
documentation, would be helpful.
BBSee is distributed in two .ZIP files BBSEEnn.ZIP for program files and
BBSEEnnX.ZIP for the 'extra' files. The 'extras' file is not always
available on every BBS. They are not necessary for BBSee operation, but
they will make your life easier. The nn refers to the current version,
which presently is 1.4 (hence BBSEE14 and BBSEE14X). The latest version
of either BBSee archive file is available on the Synapse BBS as detailed
in the documentation.
Additions to the package.
In addition to the files indicated in the documentation, please find the
files CSERVE.EXE, BIX.EXE and EXECPC.EXE, on the Utility 'Disk'. These
files can be used to convert some file listings from those services into
a PCBoard-like listing.
The usage of these programs is
CSERVE {oldfile} {newfile}
EXECPC {oldfile} {newfile}
BIX {oldfile} {newfile}
As a recent sample of listings from these services was not available,
these are the best that I can do, for now. New listings, on floppy, for
any service which BBSee cannot use would be appreciated.
If you like this program, and plan to use it please register. Without
your support future improvements may not come about.
See the HISTORY and WHATS.NEW files for changes in this release of BBSee.
WildCat Users:
Note that for Wildcat V2.0 listings the AUT Import type is required with
the parameter 2NA in Import, or 2N in BBSee.
Automated File Transfer Program Users:
I have attempted to make BBSee conform to the file formats required by
CatCalls and Telix Square, although these formats have not been test. If
you have problems or question let me know. Other formats can be
supported by providing me with the appropriate up/download file formats.
